Dark Subcultures : Cybergoth

Cybergoth is a subculture that derives from elements of cyberpunk, goth, raver, and rivethead fashion. Unlike traditional goths, Cybergoths follow electronic dance music more often than rock.

Cybergoth fashion combines rave, rivethead, and goth fashion, as well as drawing inspiration from cyberpunk and other forms of science fiction. Androgyny is common. The style sometimes features one starkly contrasting bright or neon-reactive theme colour, such as red, blue, neon green, chrome, or pink. set against a basic, black gothic outfit. Matte or glossy black materials such as rubber and shiny black PVC can be mixed and matched in an effort to create a more artificial look.
The black-and-monochromatic juxtaposition can take a variety of forms, including brightly colored hair and make-up, cybernetic patterns such as live LED circuit boards, body modification, gas masks and goggles (especially aviator-style), typically worn on the forehead or around the neck rather than on the eyes. The most common use of a theme color is in the hair or eye make-up. Artificial, extended hair or “falls” are sometimes used to create this added effect. Falls can be made of various materials, ranging from yarn to fluorescent tubing to electrical wiring. Popular club gear for cybergoths includes tight black pants, tight black vests or shirts cut from ripped, solid or fishnet fabrics, resembling costumes from 19th Century Gothic novels or early black and white horror films from the mid-20th century
The cyber are classified by their clothing and accessories. Among the most popular are:

Gothic Symbols : Inverted Cross

Inverted cross: The Cross of St. Peter or Petrine Cross is an inverted Latin cross traditionally used as a Christian symbol, but in recent times also used widely as an anti-Christ symbol

The origin of this symbol comes from the Catholic tradition that Simon Peter was crucified upside down, as told by Origen of Alexandria. The tradition first appears in the "Martyrdom of Peter", a fragmented text found in, but likely predating, the apocryphal Acts of Peter, which was written no later than 200 A.D. It is believed that Peter requested this form of crucifixion as he felt he was unworthy to be crucified in the same manner that Christ died (upright). As such, some Catholics use this cross as a symbol of humility and unworthiness in comparison to Christ.

It has also often become associated with Satanic and anti-religious attitudes, as it is considered to represent the opposite of Christianity by inverting its primary symbol, the Latin Cross. As a result, this symbol has become very popular within anti-religion groups and among some extreme metal musicians, notably black metal groups. In popular culture, including films such as Rosemary's Baby, Exorcist: The Beginning and The Omen, Petrine Crosses are often displayed to represent Satan. Coincidental with this Satanic imagery, not only is Saint Peter the source of the inverted cross symbolism in Christianity, but Jesus once referred to Peter as "Satan"
also can be found in earrings, rings, necklaces and clothing

Piercing Styles: Monroe Piercing

Monroe piercing  is a lip piercing placed off-centre, above the upper lip on the left hand side and is meant to resemble Marilyn Monroe's beauty spot.
The Monroe piercing has a recent history, unlike others that were popularized in the late 70s and 80s.the Monroe piercing can also be seen on celebrities like Amy Winehouse. Although more favoured by women, this piercing is seen increasingly on men.

This piercing is typically fitted with a 14, 16, or 18 gauge labret, the bars of which are usually shortened after healing. A variation on this piercing isAngelbites - a double version of a this piercing is with both the madonna and monroe style piercings worn on either sides of the upper lip. This piercing may also be referred to as a Crayfish, Angel Bites, or Anti Bites, being the anti version of snake bites. When long barbells are worn in this piercing, they look similar to the antennae on a crayfish, hence the name. Most people with a Monroe piercing favor a metal ball or a jewel on the outer-end. The lip can often swell considerably after the piercing and will need both facial and oral aftercare to keep both sides of the jewellery clean at all times. Monroes, like all piercings, are prone to infection and it is vital that the piercing is cleaned regularly. Scarring is minimal to none if properly taken care of.
An advantage of a Monroe piercing is that the lip area generally heals faster than other piercings. The estimated healing time given by professional piercers for this type of lip piercing is between 8–12 weeks, but many find it heals in 3–6 weeks.

Amy Lee

Amy Lee is the singer of the band Evanescence, I think many of you know it. One of theGothic artists or singers we have here in stardoll and a major inspiration (for me it is)she is characterized by using colored contact lenses.Lee has a recognizable style, marked by her occasional use of gothic makeup and taste for Victorian-style clothing. She also designs her own clothes, including those used in the music video for "Going Under", the dress she wore at the Grammy Awards of 2004, and the dress worn for the cover of The Open Door. After designing, chose Japanese designer H. Naoto to make it for her. At concerts, he wears a corset and fishnet stockingsand long skirts and knee high boots.

I think it would have been better with her version, don't you?

Vampire Inspired Make-up

the type of makeup that I use in this is similar to the gothic makeup in addition to the vampire fangs I used a similar red blood streaks and a scar bleeding and a drop of blood near to the  mouth and accessories like earrings and necklace spider and a bat necklace.

Goth Subculture

The goth subculture is a contemporary Subculture found in many countries. It began in England during the early 1980s in the  gothic rock  scene, an offshoot of the post-punk genre. The goth subculture has survived much longer than others of the same era, and has continued to diversify. Its imagery and cultural proclivities indicate influences from the 19th century Gothic Literature along with horror films and to a lesser extent the BDSM culture.

The goth subculture has associated tastes in music, aesthetics, and fashion Gothic music encompasses a number of different styles including Gothic Rock,Darkwave,Deathrock, Ethereal, Neo-Medieval and Neoclassical Styles of dress within the subculture range from deathrock, punk and Victorian style attire, or combinations of the above, most often with dark attire, makeup and hair.
Goth fashion is stereotyped as a dark, sometimes morbid, eroticized fashion and style of dress. Typical gothic fashion includes dyed black hair, dark eyeliner, black fingernails, black period-styled clothing; goths may or may not have piercings. Styles are often borrowed from the Elizabethan, Victorian or medieval period and often express pagan, occult or other religious imagery such as pentacles or ankhs The extent to which goths hold to this style varies amongst individuals as well as geographical locality, though virtually all Goths wear some of these elements. Fashion designers, such as Alexander McQueen and John Galliano, have also been described as practicing "Haute Goth". Goth fashion is often confused with Heavy Metal fashion and Emo fashion: outsiders often mistake fans of heavy metal for goth, particularly those who wear black trench coats or wear "corpse paint" (a term associated with the black metal music scene).
