Piercing Styles: Cheek Piercing ( Dimples )

Cheek piercing is facial body piercing through the cheek. The most common variation of the cheek piercing penetrates the facial tissue into the oral cavity. The usual placement is symmetrical on either side of the face, either penetrating or imitating dimples. The piercing can cause the wearer slight nerve damage and will result in "man-made dimples". Another way to go is getting Microdermals placed where you want the dimple to be placed. Some people prefer this method because full on cheek piercings have the tendency to leak or secrete lymph fluid, which has a saliva-like texture and can create an unpleasant odor. Though microdermals do have a slightly larger chance to leave a scar than a piercing, they will heal eventually and be almost unnoticeable. The rate of infection is also lower in the long run. Because the piercing does not penetrate the cheek completely, there is little to no chance of tooth or gum damage. Microdermals are like a 'one hole' piercing, where the 'foot' of the jewelry sits below the skin and the decorative jewel or flat disc is above the skin.

Cheek piercings are sometimes pierced with 1.6mm flat backed labret studs, a type of barbell jewelry. While the flat back provides comfort and lessens the chance of the jewelry damaging the teeth and gums of the wearer, it proves problematic during the healing process because the cheek will most likely heal over the flat back. In these cases the piercer will have to cut the barbell out from the inside of the mouth. In order to avoid this painful mistake, insist that your piercer uses a barbell with a rounded back. During healing, the piercing is fitted with longer jewelry to accommodate for swelling. After the piercing is healed, shortened jewelry further reduces the chance of damage to the teeth from unintentional biting.

His stage name was formed from juxtaposing the names of two 1960s American cultural icons, namely actress Marilyn Monroe and convicted multiple murder mastermind Charles Manson.

Gothic Symbols: Blair Witch

Maybe you heard or whatched the movie The Bair Witch Proyect when In october 1994, three students filmmakers disappeared in the woods near Burkkitsville,Maryland while shooting a documentary & a year later their footage was found. 

The Legend of the Blair Witch began in 1785 with Elly Kedwardwho immigrated over to the town known as Blair (United States) from Ireland. 

The Blair citizens found out that she was luring the children into her house and drawing blood from them, so she was conviced of performing witchcraft. After she was conviced she was banished to the woods. By the end of that winter most of the children of Blair suddenly disappeared. The townspeople blamed the witch and proclaimed the township of Blair and the Black Woods as cursed.

The Blair Witch symbol is a five-pointed compound symbol. Its center trianglre is pointing down. The five lines resemble the microcosmic man with arms and legs outstretched inside a circle (with a pentagram in the background)-- a magic symbol or charm among medieval alchemists and wizards. Also, it might have been a a magic symbol among medieval alchemists and wizards.
